Studio199 Electric Blues Essentials 1
In this course I'll be taking you through lead, rhythm & applied blues theory which will give you a strong understanding of this awesome genre and the skills needed to be a competent blues guitar player.
5 Units - 27 lessons
Unit 1 L1-6 We'll take a look at a blues solo that will introduce the blues scale & 12 bar format.
Unit 2 L2-12 7th chords and 12 Bar format. A wee bit of theory and Chicago Blues shuffle jamming!
Unit 3 L13-17 Here we get into our lead guitar playing again and learn the concept of mixing major and minor pentatonic
Unit 4 L18-22 Keys & Turnarounds. This is where you learn about ‘turnarounds’ and how to play them. I'll introduce ‘quick change’ 12 bar, and playing in different keys.
Unit 5 L23-27 In this final unit we’ll pull it all together with a classic bluesy solo where I break it all down. The idea is that you can start using everything you’ve learned to make your own solo’s.
After completing this unit you will have gained a wealth of knowledge and built a really strong foundation to move forward with.
*If you’re part of the 1 hour group lessons this course should take between 10-12 weeks to complete.
What’s the cost?
Group lessons - 3 or more students $25 each x 60 minute lesson
Private lessons - All of my one on one lessons are $25 x 30 minutes
***Every student will get a dropbox link where we place all course materials that you can download**
